MVUMC is going solar! We received a generous grant from the Department of Commerce to install solar panels with battery backup. This will enable us to open the church as a resilience hub, with power, during power outages in summer and winter. Our goal is to provide a safe place for the community to charge devices, operate medical equipment, breathe clean air, and stay warm in winter, cool in summer.
You can read more about our project in the Methow Valley News and the United Methodist Insight.
We’re interested in your feedback and thoughts on what will make a resilience hub most useful. Take the survey and let us know!
