Welcome to Methow Valley United Methodist Church. The folks who worship here come from Mazama on the north to just south of Carlton on Highway 20. For some that may seem like a bit of a drive, yet we hope you will find that drive is worth the difference.  In fact, that journey represents who we are as a community of faith as well.

We are a United Methodist church yet our backgrounds vary from Lutheran (ELCA) to Presbyterian (USA) and United Methodist (UMC) to  United Church of Christ (UCC), We also have people who grew up Episcopalian, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Unitarian Universalist, Baptist, and Seventh Day Adventist, and some who didn’t grow up in a faith community at all. Some might say those are a lot of differences. We find there are a lot of similarities.

Our worship varies from traditional to more contemporary. You’ll find us dressed up in our Sunday best, and dressed casually in denim and fleece, ready to hit the ski or hiking trails after church. We are respectful in our worship, and we are joyful as well. We don’t vary our ways to please one another, but rather we receive our gifts to remember how blessed we are to come from differing backgrounds and still find friends old and new with whom we can walk this pathway of life in faith.

Most of all, we believe that God loves us, and that God loves you.

We invite you to join us for worship at 10:00 AM on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. Come as you are. Bring your friends and family. Just come. Everyone is welcome.

At MVUMC, we are a group of people with diverse faith backgrounds who believe that each day is a gift and an opportunity to begin again. No matter how hard or easy life may feel at this time, we invite you to come be with us. Worship with us. Drink a cup of coffee with us. Find someone to talk with or find a quiet place to reflect. If you could use a listening ear, we have people who are great listeners. If you need a tissue to wipe away a tear, we have those, too. If life is good, share that with us as well. We welcome everyone to join us in this journey of faith and life.
